EAA Chapter 1646 Safety Training of the Month - Dec 2022 - ACFT Performance Calculations

Brief Description:

This event is in support of the EAA Apalachicola Chapter 1646 Safety Program.  During this presentation we will discuss a bit of aircraft performance and how faulty expectations have led to accidents by examining one case study in particular.  We shall review General Aviation Joint Steering Committee (GAJSC) accident studies and safety enhancements that relate to aircraft performance.  We will offer some human and technology-centered performance calculation solutions and finally, we shall provide you with recommendations for increased aircraft performance awareness.
