2022 Hot Air Balloon Winter Clinic
9am- We will be discussing performance limits of certain hot air balloon equipment, particularly carabiner failure because of improper use. We'll cover how to properly place carabiners for maximum strength.
10am-We'll look at some equipment failure accident and incidents that have occurred in the past and see what could have prevented such.
11am-We'll do a deeper dive into looking at outflow boundaries and weather related incidents and accidents. There has been several outflows hit evening balloon glow activities causing damage and injuries. We'll be covering how to mitigate these hidden dangers.
12pm-Hands on workshop using carabiners and knot tying to secure your balloon for glows and tethers.

Please join us for the winter hot air balloon safety clinic. We'll be discussing weather topics, particularly winds and outflows. We are working to have a speaker from NOAA as well. There will be some hands on demonstration of knot tying and safety line use. Breakfast foods will be provided.
