Brief Description:

For our July EAA Chapter 92 meeting, we will reprise a recent presentation by Rob Reddeg of SoCal TRACON for the Bracket IMC Club, supplemented by discussions guided by an experienced local flight instructor, Jay Steffenhagen.

Rob Reddeg (National Air Traffic Controllers Association) will be presenting ATC operations in the Southern California area. This will be a great opportunity to review local concerns and listen to discussions with Rob of possible alternatives that might be available to instrument pilots looking to improve their proficiency through practice approaches.

About our Speakers:

Robert Reddeg
SOCAL TRACON NATCA Safety & Procedures Lead

We will learn more about how ATC handles one of the busiest airspace in the USA.

Rob will go in depth and be able to pull up radar data and replays for our members to show a more specific picture of the airspace to be able to exchange information on ways we can help each other. Instrument proficiency is built on the ability to have practice approaches to hone our skills and we will all be working towards that goal.

Jay Steffenhagen is an ATP, CFII and a long-time EAA Chapter 92 member, Young Eagle pilot, and EAA Flight Advisor.
