Mark Auer, FAASTeam, CFII, MEI.
Brief Description:

According to recent NTSB data 45% of general aviation accidents occur during the takeoff or landing phase. The GAJSC feels additional emphasis in these areas can significantly improve overall safety.  The committee is also interested in traffic pattern procedures at non-towered airports and performance calculations.

Teaching Points:

  • NTSB data shows 45% of general aviation accidents occur during takeoffs and landings.
  • Special emphasis on non-towered airport pattern procedures and performance calculations.
