In this presentation we will review and discuss the follow items:

  • List the steps needed for an effective ADM
  • Identify some dangerous tendencies to avoid including the “Five Hazardous Attitudes."
  • Provide you some tools for assessing and managing risk including some commonly used FAA memory aids that frame the process.
  • Apply risk assessment skills to an actual scenario using a “Flight Risk Assessment Tool” or FRAT.
  • Discuss use of a personal minimums checklist.
