Title:
Military and Civilian Mid Air Collision Avoidance (MACA) near Ogden UT
Topic:
Avoiding Close Passes Between Military and Civilian Aircraft Near Ogden and Hill AFB, UT.
Date and Time:
Tuesday, October 19, 2021, starting at 18:00 Mountain Daylight Time Download Calendar File
Speaker(s):
Lt Col Joe “Ranger” Walker, F-35 Pilot and 388 Fighter Wing Safety Officer
Brief Description:

The best view of an F-35 is not at 7500 feet over the Great Salt Lake as you maneuver aggressively to avoid a collision that was easily avoidable with better planning and awareness.  This seminar will help raise awareness among pilots that operate in the saturated airspace north of Salt Lake and in the vicinity of Hill Air Force Base.  Come learn about military operations and how we can all work together to avoid an unexpected run-in in the future.
