Brief Description:

Please note: Only 2 dates, (SATURDAY--June 2nd and SUNDAY--June 17th) are available and space is very limited!      """This workshop has a fee"""

With only a few days left for our first safety workshop Self Rescue Techniques For Pilots we have exciting news to share:

  1. The United States Coast Guard (USCG) has confirmed to send a pilot/rescue swimmer from its Air Station Los Angeles to our workshop.
  2. Winslow Life Rafts, with more than sixty years of experience, will send us a life raft for our workshop from Florida.

We still have a few places in our Safety Workshops available, so come and know what to do in this kind of situation! (You'll receive 6 WINGS points, too)

However, having said that, the statistical chances of surviving a ditching are high. It is estimated from USA data that ~90% of controlled ditching result in only a few injuries to pilots or passengers. You are more likely to suffer after ditching by drowning, usually hastened by hypothermia and exhaustion. By wearing a life jacket your survival prospects are greatly improved. However in cold water, 15 degrees Celsius or less, your life expectancy in the water is only about one hour.    If one has to ditch what are the issues?

Staying afloat, know what to expect and what to do! Panic kills - it is that simple. If you know what to expect in the water, keep your calm and know a few and quite easy steps for your self rescue and your chances will improve. This workshop is hands-on and you will get into the water. Our Red Cross certified Water Safety Instructor and lifeguards will demonstrate techniques for your self rescue.

Our safety workshop is divided into "TWO Sessions": On-Shore (classroom) and Water (pool).
